The lavishly renovated, listed farmhouse in Riederau am Ammersee (built in 1770) with up to 360 square metres of living space is a gem for guests with a sense of the extraordinary and is well known as the Stohrerhof, a founder's farm and former museum. The holiday home has just been included in the catalogue "The best of the region". With its 12 rooms, 5 fireplaces, a 1,000 square metre garden, its historic chapel and many extras, you won't miss out on anything. The jetty, lido and, of course, the Ammersee are just a 10-minute walk from the farm. There are 3 restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Hiking and cycling trails start right outside the front door.

Munich is 40 km from the Historischer Gutshof and Augsburg is 45 km away. The two airports of Munich and Memmingen are both 65 km away.

As soon as you stand in front of this stately founding farm of Riederau, you know that you have arrived at a special place.

On three floors you have found a truly special holiday home:

BASEMENT: The spacious hallway (22sqm) on the ground floor, offers direct access to all rooms. In addition to the cloakroom (5sqm) incl. shoe shine machine, you can enter directly into the farmhouse parlour (28sqm) with basic stove, jukebox, games and a large parlour table (for up to 12 people). We have attached particular importance to the historical reconstruction of this room from the 18th century.

The parlour is connected to the modern and fully equipped carpenter's kitchen (20sqm), with high-quality kitchen appliances (dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, fully automatic coffee machine, raclette grill for 12 people, toaster, citrus press, kettle). Crockery, glasses and cutlery are provided for up to 12 people.

In addition to the kitchen, you enter the lounge (21sqm), which can also serve as a bedroom for two other guests, equipped with an exclusive sofa bed (1.90 x 2.00).

From the spacious hallway you can also reach one of our bedrooms (30sqm) with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00) and a single bed (0.90 x 2.00) and a Sena Aire Safari travel cot (0.94 x 0.66 with a load capacity of up to 15kg) with direct access to the large 1,000sqm garden. This is followed by the exclusive bathroom (8 square metres) with underfloor heating and towel dryer. High-quality towels are available for every guest.

The former chamber (13 sqm) of the manor house is our third cosy bedroom with a comfortable double bed (1.80 x 2.00). This also adjoins the tasteful bathroom (8 square metres) with underfloor heating and towel dryer, which is tiled with the highest quality Canadian green slate.

You are welcome to use the washing machine and dryer on the ground floor.

BELLE ETAGE: The historic wooden staircase leads directly to the stately upper floor with a further four rooms. The light-flooded hallway provides direct access to the beautiful and bright bedroom/living room (28sqm) with two high-quality Lambert Lobby armchairs and an exclusive leather sofa bed by Franz Fertig (1.80 x 2.00) and timeless USM-Haller shelves. There is a music system (Bluetooth-enabled) with designer speakers and CDs, as well as a flat-screen TV and various games. The fireplace in this room invites you to spend many cosy hours. Firewood is provided.

The three other rooms on the upper floor are the dressing room (20sqm), a bedroom (21sqm) with double bed (1.60 x 2.00), and the 30sqm bathroom (underfloor heating, towel dryer) with shower, bathtub, fireplace and a WC with bidet that can be accessed from two sides. All these rooms stand out due to their modernity and also due to their particularly exclusive furnishings with fine Jatoba flooring, Canadian green slate, the free-standing bathtub, the open fireplace, the spacious shower room with heated shaving mirror, the onyx washbasins and, last but not least, the high-quality Dornbracht fittings. There is also an additional television in the bedroom. High-quality towels and bathrobes are provided for every guest.

PENTHOUSE: In April 2019, we completed the penthouse at Gut Stohrerhof, which, with its almost 100 square metres of unique character, allows up to four additional guests to enjoy a special holiday experience. This loft-style living unit on the top floor of the Gründerhof in Riederau am Ammersee consists of a single large room and has a further open-plan kitchen with microwave, oven, Bora hob, fully automatic coffee machine and all the amenities of a fully equipped luxury kitchen.
With two bathrooms and toilets, in which wooden washbasins by an American wood artist are installed and a spacious shower with rain and hand shower, heated shaving mirror and ambient lighting, you will quickly realise that you have arrived in a very special place.

Our two double beds (1.80 x 2.00 m) are among the special highlights. At the touch of a button, both beds slide out of the kneelers electrically for a good night's sleep. An old barn door offers the opportunity to find a place to retreat to in this spacious loft. And it is particularly pleasant that the double beds, whether made or not, disappear back into the bunk beds at the touch of a button, so that the large room is always tidy and available for unrestricted use as a living space.

We don't want to hide the fact that you have a wonderful view through the fully glazed façade in the spacious seating area with exclusive leather sofa and leather armchairs or can romantically enjoy the open fire. There's a place for everyone here. The modern Sonos music system allows you to access our or your private music services such as Spotify, YouTube Music and many more. The new smart home TV also gives you direct access to your Netflix account or other video services such as YouTube, Amazon Prime and many more. Of course, our high-performance Wi-Fi is available to you free of charge.
