Experience an unforgettable view of the breathtaking Valais mountains, the Rhone Valley and the Simplon Pass. Join us and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of nature!

Detailed information about the alpine hut:
The lovingly restored alpine hut was built in 1632 and renovated with great dedication in 2000. In front of the hut is a well-kept forecourt that invites you to linger and enjoy. There is no electricity in the alpine hut, but this makes for a very special charm. In the evening, you can either enjoy the romantic candlelight or use the gas lamp. The cosy alpine hut consists of an eat-in kitchen with a spacious dining table and a traditional wood-burning cooker. The fresh mountain water in the hut and at the fountain outside is naturally drinkable. The hut has one bedroom with two beds and a second bedroom with a rustic Valais bed, also known as a Gütschi bed. Two additional mattresses are available to comfortably accommodate further guests. A wood-fired boiler in the cellar is used to heat the water for the shower or washing up. This is located in the basement and is heated with wood.

Please bring all bed linen / towels yourself.

Mattresses: 3x 90/200 1x 120/200, plus two emergency mattresses
Seating area/forecourt:
Enjoy the peace and seclusion on the forecourt with sun blinds, fireplace and a large stone table.
Parking:
At the hut.
Wood:
Available free of charge at the hut. If you would like to do something good, you are welcome to collect wood while walking.
Access Rosswald-Stafel:
Only with special authorisation, available at the hut.
Duration of rental:
We prefer a weekly rental, otherwise please ask.
Additional costs:
Tourist tax to be paid separately (Fr. 1.-- per child/day, Fr. 2.-- per adult/day) Rubbish bag fee
