Cozy! Located in the picturesque village of Mieders at the entrance to the Stubai Valley, just approx. 300 m from the ski slope, our alpine hut is situated at an altitude of 1240 m in a wonderfully quiet location.

Enjoy the wide view of the Stubai mountain world, the municipality of Mieders, and the state capital Innsbruck, 15 km away.

The Gullenhütte can be reached on foot via the toboggan run in winter.

Luggage and people can be transported to the hut.

Therefore, in winter, arrival and departure should take place by 8:30 AM, as the toboggan run is no longer permitted after that time. Pure relaxation! The hut is rustic and cozy, furnished with a lot of wood, and consists of a living/kitchen area with a wood-burning stove and a brick oven, a double room with a balcony, a children's room with 3 beds on the 1st floor, and a double room on the ground floor, a toilet, and 2 bathrooms. The hot water for one bathroom (antique) and the kitchen is provided by a wood-fired boiler; for the other bathroom (new), a gas heater is available, which provides hot water immediately (runs only with the generator). Radio, satellite TV, lighting on the ground floor, electricity generated by a generator.

We are happy to provide you with 2 liters per day (which corresponds to an operating time of approx. 3 hours).

If you need more, we are happy to provide you with a refill for a fee. Below the hut, there is a pond with trout.

The 6-hectare property of the alpine hut is surrounded by alpine meadows where our Highland cattle graze in the summer.

Outdoors, we also offer a sauna and a 180 cm diameter hot tub (Zuber).

Both can be heated with wood.

Our cozy alpine hut is supplied with drinking water from its own spring.

The hot tub (Zuber) is also filled with this fresh water depending on its use (not treated water!!).

Filling and heating the water (approx. 2000 liters) takes about 5-6 hours and is charged at €20 each time.

The water emerges from the interior of the mountain at approx. 4°C.

The Gullenhütte is reachable in a 10-minute drive from the center of Mieders in the summer. A perfect place for your summer vacation.

A variety of hiking trails are available.

Europe's highest monastery, Maria Waldrast, is also reachable from the Gullenhütte (approx. 1.5 hours).

A beautiful hike to the 2800 m high Serles (also called the Altar of Tyrol) for sunrise is a worthwhile experience.

The hiking time from the hut is approx. 4.5 hours.

The mountain station of the Serlesbahnen in Mieders in the Stubai Valley, as well as the Koppeneck restaurant and the Ochsenhütte, are reachable within approx. 1 hour on foot.

Below the cable car, there is a 2.8 km long summer toboggan run that takes you down into the valley at approx. 40 km/h. The Serlesbahnen ski area in Mieders, which is only 300 m from the Gullenhütte, offers a variety of leisure activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing.

Winter hiking trails are also available.

It includes an 8-person gondola lift, 3 drag lifts, and a 6 km long natural toboggan run that is illuminated at night.

A perfect little ski area for the whole family!! Austria's largest glacier ski area, the Stubai Glacier, is about 28 km away from us. The visitor's tax is charged to guests who complete their 16th year of age in the current calendar year. The visitor's tax of €4.80 per person/night must be paid directly on-site to the host.
