Cozy! In the picturesque village of Mieders, at the entrance to the Stubaital valley, just approx. 300 m from the ski slope, our alpine hut is located at an altitude of 1240 m in a wonderfully quiet setting.
Enjoy the panoramic view of the Stubai mountain range, the municipality of Mieders, and Innsbruck, the state capital, which is 15 km away.
The Gullenhütte is accessible on foot via the toboggan run in winter.
Luggage and people can be brought to the hut. Therefore, in winter, arrival and departure should take place by 8:30 am, as the toboggan run is not permitted afterwards. Pure relaxation! The hut is rustic and cozy, furnished with lots of wood, and consists of a living kitchen with a wood-burning stove and masonry oven, a double room with a balcony, a children's room with 3 beds on the 1st floor, and a double room on the ground floor, a toilet, and 2 bathrooms. Hot water for one bathroom (antique) and the kitchen is provided by a wood-fired boiler.
For the other bathroom (new), a gas boiler is available, which provides hot water immediately (runs only with the generator). Radio, satellite TV, light on the ground floor, electricity generation by a generator.
We are happy to provide you with 2 liters per day (this corresponds to an operating time of approx. 3 hours). If you need more, we are happy to provide you with a refill for a fee. Below the hut is a pond with trout.
The 6-hectare property of the alpine hut is surrounded by alpine meadows where our Highland cattle graze in the summer.
Outdoors, we also offer a sauna and a 180 cm diameter wooden hot tub (Zuber). Both can be heated with wood.
Our cozy alpine hut is supplied with drinking water from its own spring.
The wooden hot tub is also filled with this fresh water depending on usage (no treated water!!). Filling and heating the water (approx. 2000 l) takes about 5-6 hours and costs €20.00 each.
The water emerges from the interior of the mountain at approx. 4°C. The Gullenhütte can be reached in a 10-minute drive from the center of Mieders in the summer. A perfect place for your summer vacation.
A variety of hiking trails are available.
You can also reach Europe's highest monastery, Maria Waldrast, from the Gullenhütte (approx. 1.5 hours). A beautiful hike to the 2800 m high Serles (also called the Altar of Tyrol) for sunrise is a worthwhile experience.
Hiking time from the hut is approx. 4.5 hours.
The mountain station of the Serlesbahnen in Mieders im Stubaital, as well as the Koppeneck restaurant and the Ochsenhütte, are reachable within approx. 1 hour on foot.
Below the gondola lift is a 2.8 km long summer toboggan run that takes you down into the valley at approx. 40 km/h. The Serlesbahnen ski area in Mieders, which is only 300 m from the Gullenhütte, offers a variety of leisure activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing.

Wunderbarer Rückzugsort für Erholung und Wanderungen direkt vom Haus aus.
Es gibt kein Internet/Wylan, dazu muss man ins Dorf - aber das hat ja auch was!
Erholsame Entschleunigung in wunderbarer Umgebung. Eine Kraftquelle.

Die Bergkulisse ist fantastisch. Insbesondere auch durch die Holz-Sauna ist die Gullenhütte eine Wohlfühl-Oase, abseits von der lärmenden Welt.
Holzhacken ist Voraussetzung. Das ist keine Kritik, aber vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache.
