Art and nobility in the heart of Kalsa: Casa Ugdulena is part of an ancient 8th-century palace, a piece of Sicilian and Italian history.
Our home will give you the feeling of stepping fully into the history of Palermo, thanks to its tradition, elegance, and beauty, and the presence of splendid antique furnishings.
Founders and patriots of Italy such as Nino Bixio and Gregorio Ugdulena, a descendant of a historic Sicilian family, lived here. To access Casa Ugdulena, you will pass through the common areas of another non-hotel structure: the atrium, the common room, and the garden furnished with a swimming pool.
From here, you proceed to the interior rooms on the first floor, which overlook the garden directly: the spacious living room with a sofa bed is the heart of the house and its history, while the first double bedroom is adorned with beautiful frescoes and elegantly paved.
On the same floor, there is also a guest bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with a spiral staircase leading to the upper floor.
Here you will find a single room and a double bedroom, both bright and overlooking the large terrace for sunbathing and relaxing, and a 1950s-style bathroom with a bathtub and shower. *The shared pool is not heated but is available all year round.
The use of a swim cap may be required. *The apartment is located in a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), we recommend leaving your car in one of the surrounding car parks and enjoying the historic center on foot. *Upon arrival or a few days before arrival, a tourist tax may be requested, the amount of which varies according to local regulations.
You will find all the information related to your booking in the Wonderful Italy Guest Area. Palermo, one of the most beautiful art cities in the country and the capital of Sicily, offers the marvel of UNESCO World Heritage sites visitable in the city's four historic districts.
In this regard, tourists can take part in the "Baroque Itinerary of Palermo" to visit the city's main monuments, such as the Church of the Most Holy Savior, the Church of Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto, and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
The city also offers the opportunity to participate in the "Tour of Palermo's Historic Markets," which will allow guests to explore the Ballarò and Capo markets, where lunch or a snack is "strictly" to be enjoyed with your hands! This tour will also give tourists the opportunity to admire important buildings, streets, and squares. The apartment is only 1 km from the Central Train Station, where the bus stop to and from the airport is also located.
Before your arrival, we will provide you with more details on what to see, try, and taste; do not hesitate to ask us for more!

Historic place with a modern twist. Fabulous quiet place full of history. Juan Diego is so friendly and accommodating. Made our checking great. The area if proper Palermo, crazy, busy and old fashioned. Its a perfect place to start your Sicilian trip.
We had an amazing stay and we were welcomed by the super friendly owner

Beautiful historical building, great garden and we really enjoyed the big sunny rooftop terrace.
The inside turning stairs was a bit difficult to do with luggage. The kitchenette is a bit basic if you would want to really cook dinner inhere.
