Fistral Bay View is a light filled new 3 bedroom house with lovely uninterrupted views right across Fistral Bay from the first floor living area and the large dual aspect roof terrace from which to watch sunsets over the water.
It is one of the only houses on the edge of the former pitch and putt course on the Pentire Peninsula. It is part of a terrace of 4, but each house has total privacy and nobody overlooks the roof terrace. Adjacent parking for one car and further cars a minute walk away. Newquay town is just over a mile away whilst The Lewinnick, the contemporary bar and restaurant on the Pentire headland with stunning sea views, is only a few minutes walk. Walking through the back gate of the house leads you directly onto the Pentire Headland and stunning coastal walks, linking with the SW Coastal path
ENTRANCE: Entry to the house is either at the back (the side with the sea view) via a curving external staircase from the garden to the first floor living area, or, via the front door on the ground level. Going in at the latter, there is a hallway with coat and boot storage space and 3 bedrooms.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS: The master bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite wet room. There is a patio door onto the back courtyard and view of the sea through the back gate.
The front bedroom has a king size bed and direct access to the family bathroom which can be made ensuite by locking its other door to the hall.
The third small bedroom sleeps 2 children or teenagers. It has a day bed with full size single mattress and truckle single underneath. It uses the family bathroom which can either be shared or made ensuite to the second double room if the single bed room is not being used. There is a further toilet and basin in the utility on the first floor.
FIRST FLOOR LIVING AREA: On the first floor is a modern kitchen with dining area and small balcony to the front of the house. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard including tall fridge/freezer, dishwasher, 2 ovens plus a microwave. We strongly believe that unless camping, people generally do not go on holiday to live at a standard that is lower than their usual home so you will not feel you are in an a holiday rental!
There is a TV in the living area and ample seating from which to watch the sea. The first floor level utility also has a washing machine and tumble dryer in addition to the further toilet and basin.
LARGE ROOF TERRACE: Stairs lead to up to an upper landing from which the roof terrace is accessed. A glass door to the rooftop patio and full height windows make this a very light area. The roof top patio is the same size as the kitchen/living floor area of the house and is of a striking and contemporary architectural design. It’s a great place to watch the sun set and has table and chairs plus an outdoor sofa and coffee table. Please note the small room on the floorplan for this level is used by the management company for storage.
OUTSIDE AND PARKING: There is private off road parking for one car. Further street parking is available outside the house out of the summer season, otherwise there is a carpark one minute’s walk away. Surfboards can be stored in the large courtyard garden where there is an outside shower. The garden is paved and gravelled and opens onto the huge grassed pitch and putt area. There is a lovely, vast open view of the sea.
THE BEACH: There are several options for getting to the beach; The Fern Pit Café, with seasonal tidal ferry or low tide bridge across to Crantock Beach is just one road parallel to the front of the house. It is also a very nice walk along the coast edge with lovely views of surfers to Fistral Beach (around 8-10 minutes), without crossing a road. Or you could drop people off with beach gear etc and only one person walk, unencumbered. At lower tide it is possible to access Crantock beach directly over the rocks from the Pentire Headland – ideal for dog walking or more able people.
DOGS: One medium size dog (eg retriever, lab size or smaller) over 1 year is allowed but not in the bedrooms or on furniture. There is a charge of £45 per week. We have doggy rules to ensure that for the next guests, there is no sign a dog has stayed.
