Apartment 7 km from Siena, a wonderful medieval city famous throughout the world for the Palio, a medieval horse race that takes place every year in early July and mid-August in the wonderful 'Piazza del Campo'.
In its historic center, discover the imposing basilicas of San Domenico and San Francesco, a must for all pilgrims.
Don't miss a visit to the Gothic Cathedral and the 'Facciatone' right next door, the façade of the second cathedral project, whose construction was interrupted during the plague in 1348 and never resumed since.
From here you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, man fühlte sich wie zu Hause. Es gab einen Abend mit Stromausfall und sie brachten uns gleich Kerzen. Wir saßen dann alle vier noch beisammen und es war sehr schön.
Fernsehen ist nur auf Italienisch, aber wir sind ja in Italien und im Urlaub muss man ja nicht vor dem Bildschirm sitzen.

Großer Vorteil, dass Siena mit seinen Wochenmärkten mit Auto und Fahrrad gut erreichbar ist.
